**From Project Manager to AI Explorer: My Journey Begins**
With over two decades in software engineering and tech leadership, I’ve seen innovation reshape the world again and again. But one frontier has recently caught my attention in a new way: Artificial Intelligence.
I’m not an AI expert—yet. But I am a lifelong learner. And I’ve decided to step into this space from the ground up. Whether you’re curious about AI, thinking about transitioning your career, or simply want to understand what all the buzz is about, this new blog series will walk you through what I’m learning, trying, failing at (yes, that too), and eventually building.
I’ll break down concepts in both English and Korean, share bite-sized tutorials, and show how you can experiment with AI tools even if you’re not a data scientist. From fun mini-projects to serious career pivots, let’s see where this journey leads.
**Check back each week for updates, demos, and guides—and maybe even a few AI-powered surprises.**
Personalized AI Learning Roadmap for myself
Phase 1: Foundation & Exploration (Weeks 1–3)
- Take “AI for Everyone” by Andrew Ng on Coursera → Understand core concepts without needing to code.
- Browse Microsoft’s “AI for Beginners” curriculum → Light Python practice + curated lessons on ML and NLP.
Output: Define which areas of AI interest most — e.g., prompt engineering, model evaluation, AI documentation.
Phase 2: Practical Tools & Mini Projects (Weeks 4–8)
- Learn Python through “Automate the Boring Stuff” → Focus on scripts for blogs or text generation.
- Try Teachable Machine or Hugging Face Spaces → Build simple models (image or text) with minimal code.
Output: Create one working demo project I can share with blog readers — e.g., a lottery pattern checker powered by basic AI logic.
Phase 3: Blogging & Portfolio Development (Months 3–6)
- Document your journey in bilingual blog posts (EN/KR) → Include key takeaways, challenges, and tutorials.
- Create an “AI Learning Corner” on Smart US Living → Organize content by phase, include downloadable guides and visuals.
Output: Generate traffic and engagement, build credibility, and possibly attract freelance or remote AI-related roles.
Phase 4: Career Pivot Prep (Month 6+)
- Apply to entry-level AI jobs with a blog-based portfolio
- Explore freelance or advisory roles in AI prompt design or documentation
- Consider launching AI-related worksheets, tools, or resources for your audience
