It has been more than 10 years since a large Korean-style Jjim-Jil Bang was established in the United States.
When King Spa opened in Chicago, I remember going there often when I missed Korea.
We had a great time with my children, lying on a comfortable sofa, watching a movie, and eating Naengmyeon or Samgyetang at a food court, and red bean Bingsu in the summer.
In addition to Chicago, there is King Spa & Waterpark in Dallas, which will soon open in Virginia as well. An outdoor swimming pool is expected here.
King Spa offers a variety of services such as facial massage and exfoliation service(Scrub), full body acupressure, foot massage, V-Steam Herb(WORMWOOD STEAM SITZ) for women, and chair massage at the lounge. Also, there is a newly launched CBD Oil Massage.

When I visited Korea, the most delicious chicken restaurant I had in Korea was bbq chicken. I prefer a mild taste rather than seasoning, bbq chicken’s Golden Olive Chicken was perfect for my taste.
A few months later, when I came back to the US, bbq chicken caught my eye in the Chicago area.
Choong Man Chicken(CM Chicken), a Korean-style chicken restaurant that opened last year, is also my favorite, but I didn’t know that the bbq chicken I ate in Korea would be so close to where I live.
Chicago, Arlington Heights, Vernon Hill, Niles, and Spring Grove are already open, and Schaumburg, Lincoln Park, and Rolling Meadows are scheduled to open soon.
Choong Man Chicken also continues to open branches.
In addition to the first store opened in Glenview, close to the Joong Boo market(중부시장), the second store opened in Aurora and the third store was opened in Lincoln Wood.
Chicken is the best choice for a snack or side dish to pick up and eat during the pandemic. The recommended menu is definitely the Snow Onion Chicken.

시카고 지역에 맛있는 한국식 치킨집이 또 생겼다. 본촌은 벌써 글렌뷰와 샴버그에도 오픈했고, 나일스 H마트내의 또레오레 치킨집은 이미 오픈한지 오래다. 본촌이 글렌뷰에 처음 오픈했을때 줄을 서서 기다렸다가 처음 맛본 바삭한 치킨맛에 깜짝 놀랐던터라 이번에도 역시 많은 기대를 가지고 방문했다.
2019년말에 오픈했다고하니 벌써 몇달이 지난 시점이었다. 토요일 점심나절 들렀는데 가운데 테이블 몇개를 제외하고는 이미 만석이었다. 가족단위나 단체 손님도 눈에 띄었다.
이번이 두번째 방문인데 첫번째 방문은 지나가는 길에 잠깐 들른터라 메뉴도 잘 모르고 들어가서 티쿠닥과 매운맛에 집중을 했었는데 아무래도 매운맛은 내겐 많이 매웠던 터라 그때 주문한 치킨들은 매운맛 좋아하는 젊은이들 차지였었다.
이번엔 벽에 붙어있는 포스터를 보고 맵지 않은 메뉴로 선택을 해보았다. 급히 인터넷 검색을 해보니 충만치킨은 Snow Onion Chicken 이 대표메뉴인듯 보였다.

Snow Onion Chicken을 Whole 사이즈로 주문했는데 마요네즈와 기타 단맛을 넣어 버무린 양파무침과 치킨이 이렇게 조화로운 맛을 낼줄은 상상도 못했다. 원래 마요네즈를 좋아하던 터라 더욱 내 입맛에 잘 맞았다.

A new steak house(ALL YOU CAN EAT) has opened in Glenview, a suburb of Chicago. I saw in the newspaper that it opened at the end of 2019, but I haven’t been there, but I finally have a place to go.
The Korean Steak Buffet is priced from $25 to $30, so you don’t have to go there unless it’s a special day.
First of all, it is good that it is located in the Korean commercial district, which is popular in the suburbs of Chicago.
After eating at Iron Age, it is convenient to go to the nearby Korean bakery Tous Les Jours or Paris Baguette to eat dessert with coffee and cake, and then go to JoongBoo Market, a Korean mart to buy groceries.
The Glenview area has become a popular destination for Koreans in Chicago, both young and old.

According to the website, Iron Age was a franchise restaurant that had already been opened in many places in the United States, including DISTRICT OF COLUMBIA, GEORGIA, and ILLINOIS.
When you open the door and step inside, it is modern and different from the typical buffet restaurant. Large screens are installed on the walls on all sides, showing videos of Korean idol groups. The music is also K-pop.
We ordered all kinds of beef, pork belly, steamed egg, and Spicy Rice Cake, and they were all delicious.
One thing to point out… I wanted to eat hot stew with the steak, but stews are not on the menu.
